• I’ve used an attorney before – it’s expensive. How much is this going to cost?

Small businesses work on different scale than large businesses  – knowing the price of a service is key to their success. Hourly rates may work great for “Hey, Mr. Lawyer, I’ve got a question about this one issue” – but they’re terrible for providing general legal advising or commission projects.  They need to know how much a service is going to cost. Hourly rates work great to answer questions and investigate specific issues, but they do not work for projects and long-term working relationships. levinegerba || attorneys is not your old law firm because we’re different at a very basic level: we provide as much service as possible through flat fees and performance-driven rates. We partner with you to share your successes and help you through troubled time. It is our goal to see you – and your business – succeed.

• Why can’t you just tell me (what I want to hear / why I’m right / the right answer / a good joke)?

Attorneys just aren’t funny. In all honesty, though, we are required to insure that clients make all the final decisions on any issue. levinegerba || attorneys is here to provide recommendations and guidance based upon our knowledge and experience – we can tell you what problems may exist, why there’s a problem, how to solve it (or maybe several ways to solve it), what each solution will take, and which one we believe is the best for you and your business and why.

• Do I really need help? How do I know if I need help from an attorney?

Through the internet, magazines, and television, it’s become very easy for people to become more educated about forming a company, taxation, employment agreements, and so on. Sites that provide legal forms for free or low cost state that there’s no need for an attorney – just use their forms and “it always works.” Unfortunately, often those sites don’t work – if you know the very specific thing you’re looking for, you may find it, but not always. Our commitment to your company allows us to learn about your business and determine how we can help improve your position. We spend the time with each client to learn what you do, who you do it with, how it gets done, and why you’re doing it.

• These questions are great and all – but why would I choose you over an “old law firm?”

Fixed Fee Plans – Many of our services can be provided under a fixed-fee, meaning that there are no hourly rates or hidden charges. We lay this out on the table when we meet with you and explain exactly what a fixed fee provides for (and what it doesn’t). You know the scope of our representation and the cost, whether it’s for a specific project or a monthly rate to act as your “general counsel.”

Personal and Professional Service – We get to know your company, your business environment, your competition, and your team. Our relationships with our clients go beyond simple legal counsel – we are passionate about engaging each client on a personal level.
